Education Partners Join Kids Fun Zone at Anaheim Town Square

April 22, 2014

ANAHEIM, CALIF. (April 22, 2014) -- Two area cause related organizations are joining Anaheim Town Square to enrich programs at the shopping center's popular Kids Fun Zone. Camp Fire Orange County and the Children's Nature Institute will offer crafts and other fun learning opportunities at monthly Kids Fun Zone events.

The first two Canp Fire OC events will be held on April 26 and May 3. On Saturday, April 26, Anaheim Town Square invites children under 12 to visit the Camp Fire OC booth to learn how to create spark flowers. These unique creations are made from repurposed Camp Fire T-shirts, which are cut into strips of cloth and bound to resemble colorful floral bouquets or sparklers.

On Saturday, May 31, Scooter, Anaheim Town Square's skateboarding mutt mascot, will be available for photos and children will have an opportunity to win prizes at the Camp Fire OC event. Camp Fire OC, which provides after-school programming, camping and educational opportunities to economically challenged youths, will continue to bring programs to the Kids Fun Zone during the year. Visit for more information.

Children's Nature Institute joins the Kids Fun Zone on Saturday, Aug. 30 with engaging games and scientific activities. Children will get to explore their surroundings during an exciting scavenger hunt to find natural wonders throughout the shopping center. The Children's Nature Institute brings programs to school and other locations throughout Los Angeles County. Visit for more information.

The free Kids Fun Zone events are held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the last Saturday of every month near Goodwill at Anaheim Town Square, located at the corner of State College Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue. Kids Fun Zone membership is free and includes access to free craft activities, a birthday gift, VIP family events and exclusive store discounts. Visit or call 714-956-3411 for more information.
